How to Make Baked Kingklip with Cajun Butter Sauce
Prep the Fish & Sauce
Preheat your oven to 200 °C.
Arrange fillets in an ovenproof dish, making sure they’re not overlapping. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add crushed garlic, cream, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until just slightly thickened.
Bake the Fish
Pour the sauce over the kingklip fillets evenly.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish is flaky and cooked through.
Roast the Sides (Optional)
On a separate tray, roast sweet potato fries and broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper at the same time — 20–25 minutes or until golden and crisp.
